All Unicorn Browbands products are handmade to order. Each item is created individually, based on the specific options you choose at checkout.
This page explains how long orders usually take to be made and dispatched, why lead times can vary, and how delivery works once your order is complete.
Handmade to Order
Unicorn Browbands offers a wide range of options across its products, including size, leather type, crystal colours, finishes, and fittings.
To offer this level of choice without compromising quality, it is not possible to keep every material in stock at all times. As a result:
- Some materials are ordered specifically for individual orders
- Production begins once all required materials have been received
- Each item is handmade carefully and individually
This approach allows us to create bespoke pieces to your exact specifications, rather than mass-produced, imported items.
Lead Times
Our usual turnaround time is up to 14 working days for bespoke items.
This timeframe is an estimate, not a guaranteed dispatch date.
Lead times can vary depending on:
- The specific materials required for your order
- Supplier availability
- Current order volume
- Seasonal demand, including pre-Christmas periods and sales
During particularly busy periods, dispatch may take longer than the usual estimate.
If you need an item by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order, and we will advise whether this is achievable.
Production, Curing & Quality Checks
Each item is handmade with care and attention to detail.
As part of the production process:
- Browbands and collars have a smooth wipe clean leather backing which is secured using a strong adhesive
- This adhesive requires up to 24 hours to fully cure
- Items are left undisturbed during this period to ensure durability
Once curing is complete, every item is quality checked before dispatch. This allows us to confirm that crystals are secure, finishes are correct, and the item meets our standards before it leaves us.
This curing and checking time is an important part of the process and cannot be rushed without compromising quality.
Dispatch
Orders are dispatched once they are:
- Fully completed
- Properly cured where applicable
- Quality checked and approved
Dispatch confirmation and tracking details are provided once your order has been sent.
Delivery Services
All orders are sent using tracked and signed-for services.
- UK & Republic of Ireland
Orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature. - All other destinations
Orders are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.
Tracking details are provided once your order has been dispatched.
United States Orders
For orders sent to the United States, Royal Mail now charges the applicable import tariff at the point of posting.
This means:
- The tariff cost is included in the postage fee shown at checkout
- No additional tariff payment is required by you on delivery in most cases
Delivery to the USA typically takes 5 to 14 days from dispatch, although on rare occasions it may take longer if held by customs for inspection.
Customs processing times are outside our control.
Australia Orders
Delivery to Australia typically takes 5 to 14 days from dispatch.
As with all international shipments, delivery may occasionally take longer due to customs processing, although this is uncommon.
Any local taxes, customs duties, or import fees applied by Australian authorities remain the responsibility of the recipient.
UK & Republic of Ireland Delivery
UK and Republic of Ireland orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature.
Delivery times quoted by Royal Mail are estimates and may be affected by:
- Seasonal demand
- Weather conditions
- Industrial action
Tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
International Delivery (All Other Destinations)
For destinations outside the UK, Republic of Ireland, USA, and Australia:
- Orders are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed
- Delivery times vary by destination
- Customs clearance times may affect delivery
Any local taxes, customs duties, or import fees are the responsibility of the recipient.
Important Delivery Notes
- Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees
- Delivery times begin after dispatch, not from the order date
- Customs delays, where they occur, are outside our control
