Here are some frequently asked questions about our bling browbands and our business here at Unicorn Browbands
All of our browbands are hand made, and the leather is hand stitched making it stronger and more resilient than mass produced, machine stitched leather tack.
Hand stitched leather is saddle stitched in the time tested traditional manner which gives an extra layer of stitching so that in the unlikely event that the thread wears over time there will still be another row layer of thread holding things in place.
English leather (we use Sedgwicks here) is held to be the finest in the world for equestrian uses. It is produced in the superior, traditional methods and is vegetable tanned leading to a more supple yet durable leather.
Czech Preciosa crystals simply have such amazing shine and glimmering properties due to the meticulous way they are manufactured. They are precision cut and most are foiled with gold or silver on the rear side to help with reflections. Unlike some mass-produced crystals from the East, they are very durable and do not lose their shine.

The best crystal browbands are made from English, hand stitched leather with either Czech Preciosa crystals (like ours) or Austrian Swarovski crystals (coming here soon)
As for colours, that entirely depends on your horses colour and your personal preference!
One year repairs. We can repair older browbands for a small surcharge.
Please allow up to two weeks as all our browbands are hand made to order, we do not carry ready made browbands in stock. Although we may occasionally have some made up and on a special offer that have been used for photography purposes.
If you absolutely need your browband sooner please contact us as if we have the leather in your size and the crystals in stock we may be able to get it out to you faster. Because of the huge variations of crystal colours that we offer, we cannot possibly keep them all in stock though.
All of our browbands are individually hand made and quality control tested before shipping. As we offer a huge variety of colours and shades of crystals we cannot possibly keep them all in stock and so have to order some of them to make your browband first. If we didn’t do it this way we would have to curtail the number of crystal colours on offer.

The United States has recently updated how parcels from the UK are handled. The old low-value allowance has been removed, which means all commercial parcels now require duty and full customs processing on arrival.
To keep things straightforward for you, all US orders from Unicorn Browbands are sent through Royal Mail’s Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) service. This means the import duty and Royal Mail’s clearance fee are paid in advance, and the amount you see at checkout already includes these costs.
• Your parcel should arrive without any extra fees being requested at delivery.
• The customs label shows the PDDP mark which confirms duty has been prepaid.
• If anything unexpected ever happens, please get in touch and we will help sort it out.
These rules came into effect in 2025 and apply to all UK businesses sending goods to the USA, regardless of parcel value. We use PDDP so that everything is handled ahead of time and your order can travel smoothly through customs.
